    Rachael Ellis, Owner + Stylist

Originally from Texas, Rachael Ellis is a highly accomplished hairdresser, reiki practitioner, and the owner of Satellite Salon in Salt Lake City. Known for her expertise in lived-in color, razor cutting, and hair ceremonies, Rachael brings a holistic and intentional approach to hairdressing. With a background as a therapist and artist, she weaves emotional awareness and creativity through every aspect of her work.

Since 2013, she has honed her craft at prestigious salons, styled for New York and Paris Fashion Week, and taught nationwide as an educator and mentor for other stylists. Today, Rachael focuses on her independent practice—offering ritual haircuts and ceremonies that blend hairstyling with holistic remedies to foster self-connection and authenticity. Stevo Graves, Editorial + Cutting Specialist

Stevo brings sensitivity and precision to every cut. With six years behind the chair—and roots that stretch back to the desert of Logandale, Nevada—they approach hair as both craft and quiet rebellion. Their philosophy is simple yet radical: hair is genderless, and it looks its best when we embrace our natural texture.

Their work lives at the intersection of confidence and cool—a blend of construction-born structure and intuitive flow. Influenced by Joy Division, Salvador Dalí, and a deep appreciation for form and feeling, Stevo creates shapes that feel lived-in, effortless, and distinctly personal.

From bold transformations to subtle refinements, their intention remains the same: to help clients feel like themselves—comfortable, seen, and a little bit rock n’ roll. (@stevotheartist)

    Eden Kershisnik, Cut + Color

With a decade behind the chair, Eden brings an intuitive blend of polish and ease to every head of hair she touches. Her approach is rooted in experience, artistry, and an eye for beauty that feels both modern and timeless.

Eden’s philosophy is simple: good hair is best. She’s drawn to razor work, lived-in texture, and that effortless, shiny finish that looks like it was meant to be there all along. Whether refining shape or enhancing natural tone, she aims to leave her clients feeling confident, chill, and wholly themselves.

Outside the salon, Eden finds inspiration in travel, art, and culture—from the high romance of the Italian Renaissance to the rhythm of Rosalia on repeat. Equal parts cozy and cosmopolitan, she brings warmth, wit, and a fresh point of view to Satellite. (@edenkershisnik)

  • Kate Johnson, Cut + Color

Rooted in both curiosity and care, Kate approaches hair as a form of self-expression—one that transcends age, gender, and trend. With seven years behind the chair and experience spanning from local salons to national hair shows, she brings both artistry and grounded skill to every client who sits with her.

Her philosophy: hair is ageless, genderless, and most powerful when it feels authentic. Inspired by the elegance of the 1920s reimagined through a modern edge, Kate creates looks that balance softness with strength, classicism with individuality.

Known for her welcoming, laid-back energy, she invites clients to come exactly as they are—ready to explore, play, and leave feeling more like themselves than when they arrived. (@hairbykatejohnson)
